Francesco Sossai will present his new film, One Last One for the Road, in the Un Certain Regard selection at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Un Certain Regard, the prestigious Cannes Film Festival selection that showcases unique perspectives and emerging talents in world cinema, has unveiled its 2025 selection, and Francesco Sossai’s film One Last One for the Road (Le città di pianura) is among them.
This film will mark Francesco Sossai’s debut on the Croisette, alongside his cast: Filippo Scotti, Pierpaolo Capovilla, and Andrea Pennacchi.
“Le città di pianura is a road movie. And that ‘one last one for the road’ is indeed a glass of alcohol. It’s a story about men who hit the road to get drunk.” explained Thierry Frémaux, general delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, during the press conference on Thursday, April 10.
