The Indian star, Aamir khan and his wife have moved ahead to end their 15 years of weddin. The duo, notably, on Saturday announced that they will be soon filing for the divorce. Aamir and Kiran owe a son, named Azad, 11 years, and will be separating on the basis of mutual desicion.
The duo plans to raise their son in collabration and will be managing to work for the films as well. They both owe a non- profit Paani Foundation and other projects, and will be handle them together.
The pair noted, “We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalise this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does.” Further, added and mentioned, “Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives — no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other.”
Aamir Khan, 56, also has two kids, Ira khan, 24 years, and Junaid Khan, with Reena Dutta. His daughter, Ira is soon about debut as a actress in bollywood. The actor is not popular in India but is also loved worldwide,especially in China, the world’s second-largest film market.
Kiran is a film producer and director and the pair meet in 2001, while working for the Oscar-nominated film, Lagaan. Later, in 2005, Aamir and Rao tied the knot and in 206 founded the ‘Paani Foundation,’ a non-profit fighting which manages the drought effected regions and people in the western state of Maharashtra.
The pair jointly stated, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other.”
They further added and mentioned, “We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalise this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together. We will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that we feel passionate about.”
